The Chef

 

Chef Jesse Wykle began cooking professionally while attending the University of Mississippi in Oxford. He worked under the James Beard award winning chef John Currence at City Grocery, who was rewarded Best Chef in the Southeast. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Chef Wykle moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, where he began working at the prestigious Clifton Inn and Farmington Country Club. There he learned to hone his high-end skills as a chef, while preparing and executing menus for large catering parties and private wine dinners. Notably, Chef Wykle prepared a specialty wine and cheese sitting at the French Embassy in Washington, D.C., as well as private brunches and dinners for a past Governor and Senator of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Four years later, Chef Wykle moved to Virginia Beach, home to many in his family. He has been the Executive Chef of The Hilton Garden Inn in Suffolk, Little Bar Bistroís Pacifica, and most recently at the critically acclaimed Eurasia Cafe and Wine Bar for over three years. He actively participates in culinary education as an adjunct professor at both The Art Institute of America and Stratford University in Virginia Beach. Chef Wykle was named among the top 5,000 best chefs in America by the publication "Best Chefs America" in 2013. Beyond his passion of food, Jesse is an avid musician, surfer, and outdoorsman. Most importantly, he enjoys each of these things with his wife, Ashley, and darling toddler, August.
